Unfortunately many pet owners fail to keep an eye on their pet’s waistline and don’t recognize that their pet is overweight. Others know there is a problem but are not aware of the health risks of obesity. The incidence of obesity in pets is as high as 40% in dogs and 33% in cats. Overweight pets are more likely to suffer from the following ailments:
- Cardiovascular disease
- Respiratory difficulties
- Gastrointestinal upsets
- Reduced exercise tolerance
- Reduced life span

Our Healthy Habits Club members will benefit from a specifically tailored feeding schedule designed to get them to their optimal body condition.
After an initial 30 minute consultation with a nurse, she will record your pet’s starting weight and determine their ideal target, take measurements and establish a feeding plan, you will be on your way to helping your pet reap the benefits of a healthy body weight.
We advise fortnightly weigh-ins where any issues can be discussed to keep you and your pet on target, and all at only the cost of the weight management diet selected for your pet at the commencement of the program.
If you feel that your pet may benefit from becoming a member of our Healthy Habits Club, or you have been referred by one of our Veterinarians, please don’t hesitate to contact one of our nurses and arrange a time that is convenient to have your first consultation and get onto the rewarding path to a healthy lifestyle for your pet.
